Transsur Logistic International Freight Forwarders participates in Fruit Attraction 2026 as one of the 24 companies in the port community accompanying the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras (APBA) at IFEMA Madrid. Its activity focuses on international transport, freight forwarding management, and operations subject to customs transit, services directly related to the movement of fruits and vegetables from third countries.

The company maintains a location particularly close to the border control of the Port of Algeciras. The directory of the port community places its delegation in the facilities of the former PIF of the Juan Carlos I Wharf, currently integrated into the operational environment of the Border Control Post (PCF). This location puts Transsur next to the circuit through which goods needing to undergo official checks pass before continuing to the European market.

For the horticultural sector, this proximity becomes particularly relevant regarding imports from third countries. Fruits and vegetables may be subject, depending on their origin and characteristics, to documentary, phytosanitary, health or commercial quality controls before obtaining the necessary authorization to continue their journey.

The recorded activity of Transsur includes the functions typical of a transport and freight forwarding agency, the organization of international transport and the operations carried out under customs transit regime. The company thus intervenes in the planning and coordination of the movement of goods and in the documentary procedures associated with their international circulation.

This combination allows the company to intervene in shipments that need to coordinate the physical movement of the cargo with the administrative procedures that accompany an import, export, or transit operation. In perishable products, the synchronization between transport and documentation is especially relevant due to the times associated with passing through the border and the subsequent incorporation of the goods into distribution networks.

Algeciras also concentrates different types of horticultural traffic. Refrigerated containers from transoceanic markets arrive at the port, while the connections of the Strait channel agricultural goods transported by road from Morocco. In both cases, certain loads must complete the corresponding controls before leaving the port area.

The physical presence of Transsur in this environment allows it to develop its freight forwarding activity next to the point where part of these procedures are concentrated. However, the available public information does not allow attributing to the company its own refrigerated infrastructure nor specific technical services for reefer transport, so its profile within the delegation is fundamentally positioned in international transport, customs transit, and management linked to foreign trade.

This orientation towards the horticultural market has already led Transsur to participate in other commercial actions related to the main origins of the goods that utilize Algeciras. The company was part of the business delegation that traveled to Agrofest Peru, where companies from the port community maintained contact with the Peruvian agro-exporting sector. Peru currently figures among the main origins of the refrigerated cargo channeled by the Port of Algeciras.

Transsur has also participated in actions linked to Fruit Logistica, within the initiatives developed to bring the services of the port community closer to the international market for fruits and vegetables.

At Fruit Attraction 2026, its activity is integrated into a representation that brings together transport, customs services, storage, logistics, and other services related to the horticultural chain. The APBA presents in Madrid infrastructure with over 5,500 connections for refrigerated containers and a capacity exceeding 30,000 pallets in refrigerated terminals and logistics areas of the port environment.

Transsur participates within this network from the perspective of freight and customs management, with a delegation located in the very border environment from which the passage of part of the perishable goods arriving in Algeciras is processed before continuing to their destination markets.
