Bernardina Customs and Transport participates since this Tuesday in Fruit Attraction 2026 as one of the 24 companies from the port community accompanying the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras (APBA) at IFEMA Madrid. The company attends the event with an activity focused on customs services, transport, and storage, including solutions for goods that require temperature-controlled preservation.

Its operations take place from the Isla Verde Dock, within the premises of the Port of Algeciras, where it appears in the directory of the port community. This location places the company in an area directly related to the entry and exit of goods and with some of the services involved in foreign trade operations.

The offer that Bernardina Customs and Transport presents to the fruit and vegetable sector revolves around the management of imports, exports, and transits, along with customs storage both dry and cold. These lines of activity allow linking the firm's activity with perishable goods that need to maintain certain preservation conditions during their passage through the logistics chain.

For fruits and vegetables, the combination of customs management and temperature-controlled storage responds to two common processes during the passage of this type of goods through a port: the necessary documentation processing for their entry, exit, or transit and the preservation of the load while it remains available to the various operators participating in the chain.

Bernardina Customs and Transport is also listed within the transportation and customs representation categories of the Algeciras port community. Its activity is, therefore, integrated into the network of companies that meet the needs of importers, exporters, transporters, and shippers who use the Algeciras enclave for their international operations.

Participation in Fruit Attraction keeps the commercial activity that the company has maintained this year within the joint promotion of the Port of Algeciras in the fresh products sector. Bernardina Customs and Transport was part of the business delegation sent to Fruit Logistica 2026 in February, in Berlin, where the APBA presented its services for refrigerated goods and the projects related to the digitalization of the controls for fresh product entries.

That meeting also served to present the digital interoperability project between the Central American Digital Trade Platform and the Port Community System of the Port of Algeciras. The initiative includes the electronic exchange of health certificates and customs documentation and the possibility of advancing part of the documentary evaluation associated with inspections of goods from Central America.

This framework is again part of the proposal that the Algeciras port community is now bringing to Madrid. The APBA presents at Fruit Attraction a logistics network with more than 5,500 connections for refrigerated containers and the capacity to store over 30,000 pallets, along with transport, customs, inspection, handling, and distribution services related to the fruit and vegetable traffic.

The activity of Bernardina Customs and Transport falls within that set of services in the areas of customs management, transport, and storage. Compared to other larger operators or with a broader public catalog, the available information about the company is concentrated precisely in these areas, so its participation in Fruit Attraction is especially linked to the documentary and logistical needs that accompany international flows of perishable goods through the Port of Algeciras.
