LeoProex participates in Fruit Attraction 2026 as one of the 24 companies from the port community that accompany the Port Authority of Algeciras Bay (APBA) at IFEMA Madrid. The company presents the horticultural sector with an offer based on the international transport of perishable goods and a reefer division in which it claims to have more than twenty years of experience.

Refrigerated, frozen, and perishable products are one of the specializations published by the freight forwarder. LeoProex proposes this service from itinerary planning to managing the necessary documentation for transport, adapting operations to the characteristics of each commodity.

This activity can combine different modes of transport. The company offers maritime, air, land, and rail services for import, export, and cross trade operations, to which it adds representation and customs advice, storage, and distribution. The configuration allows organizing chains in which a horticultural product uses different means from the point of origin to the destination market.

Maritime transport is one of the main components for the longest journeys. LeoProex works with full FCL containers and LCL groupage, has its own consolidation service as an NVOCC, and offers cross trade operations. Within this service, it expressly identifies shipments of fruits and vegetables among the perishable goods it manages and offers container tracking through its web tracking platform.

Air transport provides another alternative for products where delivery times are particularly critical to the operation. The company, acting as an IATA agent, includes fruits and vegetables among the perishable goods it transports by this means and offers import, export, and cross trade services, door-to-door modalities, and sea-air combinations.

To these options is added road transport for national and international distribution and groupage operations, while the rail offer allows incorporating the train on certain multimodal itineraries. The model facilitates the design of a logistics chain not being limited to a single mode of transport, especially when origin, entry port, and final destination are in different markets.

Customs management completes this scheme. LeoProex provides services for tariff classification, temporary imports, special regimes, and management of customs deposits, in addition to assistance and monitoring during import and export inspections. The company also has storage facilities under different customs figures and offers cross-docking, inventory control, and national and European distribution.

For the horticultural sector, this combination allows coordinating within the same structure the reservation of transport, cargo tracking, entry or exit procedures, and subsequent land operations. The company itself points out that, for temperature-controlled goods, the advance preparation of customs documentation is part of processes aimed at avoiding reefer containers being immobilized during their passage through the port.

LeoProex's participation in Madrid also acquires a local component due to the establishment of its Algeciras office, operational since August 2025. The opening allowed incorporating the Algeciras enclave into a national network of delegations and bringing its transport and customs services closer to one of the main points of entry and exit for goods in the southern peninsula. The company later opened a second Andalusian office in Malaga in January 2026.

The company already used Fruit Logistica in Berlin, held in February, to present these two new delegations and its portfolio aimed at the fresh products market. At Fruit Attraction, it integrates again into the representation of the Port of Algeciras, this time from stand 4C18 of Puertos del Estado and the APBA.

The international dimension of LeoProex also incorporates markets from Latin America, the Mediterranean, Maghreb, Africa, and Asia. In the Latin American case, the company offers maritime and air transport between the main Spanish ports and airports and the region, as well as operations between Latin American countries and third markets through its network of agents.

This coverage connects with part of the refrigerated flows that the Port of Algeciras currently utilizes. Costa Rica and Peru are among the main origins of reefer goods that the APBA is presenting these days in Madrid, while the horticultural traffics of the enclave combine transoceanic imports with Spanish exports and short-distance movements across the Strait.
