Total Terminal International Algeciras (TTI Algeciras) has joined the MidMarket Club driven by Andalucía TRADE, the business agency of the Junta de Andalucía, a platform designed to support mid-sized Andalusian companies in their growth and consolidation. The container terminal at the Port of Algeciras, participated in by the South Korean shipping company HMM and the French group CMA CGM, is one of the first companies in the logistics-port sector to join this initiative.
The MidMarket Club was presented by the Minister of Economy, Finance, European Funds and Social Dialogue, Carolina España, at the end of 2025 and opened its registration period in March 2026. It is a voluntary, collaborative, and non-profit community aimed at companies with an annual turnover between 50 and 500 million euros with a balance sheet over 43 million, or that have between 250 and 3,000 employees and possess a CIF or production center in Andalusia. In the autonomous community, around 500 companies with this profile are accounted for.
The initiative, pioneering in Spain according to the Junta de Andalucía as it has not yet been developed by any other autonomous community, was born to fill a gap that public policies supporting businesses did not specifically address. These mid-sized companies often lack the resources that are presumed for their size and, at the same time, are left out of programs aimed at small and medium enterprises.
Among the services offered by the Club to its members are access to financial instruments worth up to 136 million euros, including the Fund for Strategic Technology in Andalusia, endowed with 30 million. Calls for R&D+i that exceed 105 million euros are also available, along with specialized advice in innovation, sustainability, internationalization, and business strategy. The Club also contemplates the launch of the Andalusian MidMarket Observatory and the organization of networking meetings and workshops.
