The Junta of Andalusia has opened the registration period for a new call for the Mission Acceleration Program, an initiative for digital entrepreneurship aimed at startups and innovative projects with a technological basis that want to scale their solutions in a highly specialized environment. The program, endowed with a base bidding budget of 2,702,427.22 euros (VAT included) for an initial execution period of 12 months with the possibility of extension, is promoted by the Digital Agency of Andalusia (ADA), an entity attached to the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines.
The Mission Program is developed in collaboration with the municipalities of Alhaurín de la Torre, El Ejido, and Jaén, as well as the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras, and is framed within the I Andalusian Strategy for Digital Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation of SMEs 2030. After a first phase in which it was part of the project "Digital Entrepreneurship Networks," corresponding to the Territorial Networks of Technological Specialization (RETECH) program of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan financed by the European Union-Next Generation, Mission now continues its development through self-financing by the Junta of Andalusia.
The program has four specialized centers: El Ejido (Almería), dedicated to technologies applied to agriculture (Agrotech); Jaén, focused on video games and digital content creation (Gaming); Algeciras (Cádiz), specialized in port logistics; and Alhaurín de la Torre (Málaga), focused on mobility and smart vehicles (Smart Mobility). The four nodes offer real experimentation environments and advanced technological equipment for the development and validation of innovative solutions.
The call is aimed at digital entrepreneurship projects that present solutions aligned with any of the four strategic sectors of the program, as well as those based on transversal technologies such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, or blockchain that develop or explore applications in one or several of these areas. Both entrepreneurs who have not yet established their company and projects that already have legal personality will be accepted. Projects must be linked to Andalusia and submit their application exclusively through the official program website.
The selection process consists of three phases: a continuous pre-selection of applications, online interviews with the selection committee, and a final selection of up to 10 projects per center. The evaluation criteria include the definition of the proposal, the degree of innovation, the state of development of the project, economic viability, and the composition of the team.
The selected startups will participate in a hybrid program lasting up to six months, from June 1 to November 30, 2026, which combines specialized training, personalized mentoring, access to technological infrastructures, in-person activities, networking, and connection with investors and ecosystem agents. The program includes two pathways adapted to the maturity level of the projects: incubation for early phases, and acceleration for projects with validated products. Participants will have access to workspaces and technological equipment at no cost, integration into an open innovation ecosystem, investment and financing opportunities, connection with leading companies and potential clients, and visibility within the Andalusian entrepreneurial ecosystem. In addition, projects will be able to access complementary programs such as the Open Innovation Mission Program or advanced consulting services.
The closing event corresponding to the 2025 call of the Mission Acceleration Program was held during April with the Mission Summit Andalusia at each of the centers, where startups were presented with the mechanisms and resources for continuity that the program offers, aimed at maintaining the link with the Mission community and continuing to generate value from the knowledge and experience acquired.
