The APBA has welcomed the company, stating that its incorporation contributes to the progress towards "a port model more respectful of our environment, innovative and efficient."
Adhering implies for AGSA-Partida the integration of more demanding environmental criteria in its operations, a commitment to greater transparency and responsibility in sustainability matters, active participation in port initiatives aimed at environmental improvement, and collaboration with other companies in the port community to move towards a more sustainable common management model. From its incorporation, the company will be able to use the official seal of "Company Adhered to the Green Strategy of the APBA," the use of which is regulated by rules established by the Port Authority to ensure its correct, consistent, and responsible use in the communication channels of the adhered companies.
AGSA-Partida has framed its decision in its commitment to continuous improvement within the Algeciras port ecosystem. The Green Strategy of the APBA is an initiative that started in 2009 with the approval of the first environmental policy of the Port of Algeciras and has been consolidated over the years with the obtaining of certifications such as ISO 14001, the PERS of EcoPorts, and the EMAS registration. In 2021, these efforts were articulated in the Green Strategy 2021-2026, which was recognized by AENOR as the first port strategy of the state system aligned with and certified against the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.
