The Port Authority of Ceuta has conveyed a series of recommendations to users of the Ceuta-Algeciras maritime line in view of the forecasted increase in traffic of passengers and vehicles during the upcoming the long weekend . The port authority recommends planning movements in advance to facilitate access to the facilities and avoid potential concentrations of travelers during boarding operations.

The forecast of a greater influx during these days has led the Port Authority to remind everyone of the convenience of purchasing tickets before heading to the port, preferably with a fixed departure time. This measure allows travelers to organize their movements according to the schedule of the shipping companies and reduce possible wait times at the port facilities.

One of the main recommendations refers to the compliance with the established schedules to access the ships. According to the Port Authority, boarding operations will begin one hour before the scheduled departure of each ferry and will end 30 minutes before its departure. For this reason, it is advisable to arrive well in advance, especially during those time slots when there may be a higher concentration of passengers and vehicles.

The organization also requests the collaboration of users to maintain orderly circulation in the port area. In this regard, it reminds the need to respect existing signage, use the designated access for each type of traffic, and always follow the instructions of the personnel in charge of organizing boarding.

These guidelines are directed both at passengers traveling on foot and at those making the journey with a vehicle, given that the anticipated increase in movements may concentrate demand on certain departures of the maritime connection between Ceuta and Algeciras.

On the other hand, the Port Authority recommends consulting directly with the shipping companies regarding the scheduled times before starting the journey to the port facilities. This verification will allow knowing any possible changes in the departures and organizing the arrival at boarding according to the conditions of the contracted service.

Travelers are also reminded of the importance of checking in advance that they possess all the necessary documentation to make the crossing, in order to avoid incidents during access and boarding procedures.

The recommendations issued by the Port Authority of Ceuta focus on the organization of movements towards the Peninsula during the long weekend, a period for which greater use of the maritime connection with Algeciras is expected. The organization stresses the importance of purchasing tickets in advance, complying with boarding schedules, and paying attention to the directions of port personnel to facilitate operations during periods of higher influx.
