A commercial delegation from the Port of Ceuta is participating this week in the international fair Posidonia International Shipping Exhibition 2026, taking place in Athens (Greece), which constitutes one of the main global meetings in the maritime sector and international transport. The Ceuta representation is led by the president of the Port Authority of Ceuta, Juan Manuel Doncel, and includes the participation of the Chamber of Commerce of Ceuta and several companies from the local port community.
The Port of Ceuta attends the Athenian appointment with the aim of promoting its service portfolio and expanding business opportunities related to bunkering, maritime logistics, and ship services. The port community companies that are part of the delegation include Amarres Ceuta, Salama Shipping Agents, Gibunco Ship Agency, and Marine Surveyor Services, which during these days hold meetings and business contacts with shipowners, maritime operators, shipping companies, and specialized firms from different countries.
Posidonia gathers more than 2,000 exhibiting companies from over 90 countries and territories, making it one of the main international platforms for promoting maritime services and establishing business relationships in the port sector.
Among the most relevant activities of the day was the visit to the stand of the Port of Ceuta by the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Turkey, Tamer Kiran, accompanied by several members of his management team. This meeting continues the institutional and business relations initiated during the business mission that the Port Authority, the Chamber of Commerce, and companies from the Ceuta port community held last October in Istanbul.
