CyberLogitec has signed a contract with Total Terminal International Algeciras to supply its OPUS Terminal operating system and a digital twin solution within the expansion project of Phase B1.
The action is part of the expansion program with which TTI Algeciras will increase its annual capacity by 500,000 TEUs, from the current 1.6 million to reach 2.1 million TEUs starting in 2028.
OPUS Terminal will allow for integrated management of ship operations, yard, access gates, and equipment. The platform will centralize information from various operational areas and facilitate planning and coordination of resources during port calls.
The system will also provide greater visibility into the activity's development and will allow for workflow optimization within the terminal. CyberLogitec will adapt the tool to the semi-automated model of TTI Algeciras and the needs arising from the incorporation of the new infrastructures of Phase B1.
The contract also includes the implementation of the Digital Twin solution from the technology company. This tool will offer a real-time virtual representation of the terminal's activity and the status of equipment.
The digital twin will allow for monitoring container movements, checking the status of machinery, and analyzing the operation of different operational areas. The platform will also be used to simulate scenarios and evaluate modifications before applying them to actual operations.
These simulations will serve to study alternatives related to equipment distribution, yard organization, operation planning, and management of potential traffic concentrations. The generated data will be used to support decision-making and to compare the planned operation with the execution of tasks.
In this way, CyberLogitec will supply a platform that will combine conventional operational management with visualization and simulation tools. The company believes that this integration will improve the safety, efficiency, and reliability of operations linked to the terminal's growth.
The expansion of Phase B1 includes new infrastructures and equipment aimed at increasing the capacity of TTI Algeciras and addressing the evolution of its traffic. The incorporation of OPUS Terminal and the digital twin will allow the management systems to adapt to the new volume of planned activity starting from 2028.
The contract also represents a new benchmark for CyberLogitec in the European market. The company develops operating systems and digital solutions for container terminals in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and America.
Its portfolio includes tools for managing port operations, visibility of processes, data analysis, and the creation of virtual environments applied to smart terminals. The TTI Algeciras project will combine these technologies into a single platform adapted to a semi-automated installation.
