Selected candidates will be able to perform functions associated with PMS operations, VTS-PMS, and VTS in the Algeciras port environment.
Among the minimum requirements, the Pilot Corporation requests certification in Nautical and Maritime Transport, Merchant Marine or equivalent, as well as a valid GMDSS certificate (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System). Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of maritime communications and port operations, as well as an operational level of both Spanish and maritime English.
As valuable merits, the call considers previous experience in VTS (Vessel Traffic Services), maritime traffic control, port operations, and maritime radio communications. VTS certification in accordance with IALA V-103 recommendations, experience in port environments or maritime coordination centers, as well as the ability to work in shifts and aptitude for operational decision-making will also be taken into account.
