The port of Algeciras has recorded 1,016 rotations and 178,132 accumulated passengers in the Operation Exit of the Operation Paso del Estrecho 2026, with data closed as of July 5. The Algeciras dock remains the main transit point of the operation, with 52,763 vehicles embarked since the start of the operation, on June 15, according to the situation report prepared by the Ministry of the Interior.
On July 5, the lines operating from Algeciras totaled 51 rotations and 18,013 passengers. The Algeciras-Ceuta connection accounted for 20 rotations and 4,589 travelers, while the Algeciras-Tánger Med line recorded 31 rotations and 13,424 passengers. In accumulated terms, Algeciras presents a decrease of 4.1% in rotations compared to the same period in 2025, with 43 fewer trips, and a reduction of 3.3% in passengers, equivalent to 5,996 fewer travelers.
The port of Tarifa has accumulated 289 rotations and 60,964 passengers on the Tarifa-Tánger Ville line, in addition to 7,565 vehicles embarked. During July 5, this connection recorded 14 rotations and 5,286 passengers. Compared to the previous year, Tarifa presents 12 fewer rotations, a decrease of 4%, although the number of passengers grows by 7.3%, with 4,171 more travelers than in the same period in 2025.
In total, Algeciras and Tarifa account for 1,305 rotations and 239,096 passengers since the start of the Operation Exit. This figure represents nearly three-quarters of the total travelers counted in all ports included in the operation. In terms of vehicles, both locations reach 60,328 units, which also constitutes the largest part of the vehicle traffic of the OPE in this phase.
The overall balance of the Operation Exit reflects 1,446 rotations and 320,445 accumulated passengers between June 15 and July 5. Compared to 2025, the report shows 78 fewer rotations, a decrease of 5.1%, while the number of passengers increases by 10,024 people, a 3.2% rise. Vehicle traffic stands at 82,409 units.
Following Algeciras and Tarifa, the port of Almería ranks as the third location with the highest volume of passengers, with 88 rotations and 51,636 accumulated travelers. On July 5, its connections with Melilla and Nador added 6 rotations and 5,410 passengers. The Almería-Nador line concentrated the majority of that daily movement, with 5 rotations and 4,336 travelers, while Almería-Melilla recorded one rotation and 1,074 passengers.
The port of Málaga accumulates 24 rotations and 13,186 passengers, with one rotation and 1,056 travelers on the line with Melilla during the analyzed day. Motril records 13 rotations and 4,754 accumulated passengers, with 2 rotations and 1,005 passengers on the Motril-Melilla connection on July 5. Valencia adds 8 rotations and 7,396 passengers on the line with Mostaganem, with no activity recorded on the reporting day. Alicante accounts for 8 rotations and 4,377 accumulated passengers, also without rotations or travelers on the 5th.
The general daily report records a total of 74 rotations and 30,770 passengers during the day of July 5. The routes of Campo de Gibraltar concentrated 65 of those rotations and 23,299 passengers, with a predominant weight of the connections Algeciras-Tánger Med, Algeciras-Ceuta, and Tarifa-Tánger Ville.
In terms of assistance, the report includes 11 medical assists during the day, with a total of 220 since the start of the operation. Almería registered 10 medical assists on the day and Málaga one. In social assists, the daily report totals 80 interventions, mainly distributed between Tarifa, with 31; Algeciras, with 30; Almería, with 10; Motril, with 7; and Málaga, with 2.
The data reflects an Operation Exit with a lower number of rotations than in 2025, but with a higher volume of passengers across the operation. Algeciras maintains the highest accumulated traffic, while Tarifa increases its travelers compared to the previous year despite operating fewer rotations. The other ports maintain a smaller share in the overall balance, with Almería as the main alternative in passenger volume after the ports of Campo de Gibraltar.
