Moeve Foundation has opened the call for the 22nd edition of its Social Value Awards, aimed at supporting projects intended for people in situations of social vulnerability in Campo de Gibraltar, the province of Huelva, and the Canary Islands.
Interested entities may submit their applications between September 1 and September 18 through the Moeve Foundation website. The organization will allocate up to 225,000 euros to social initiatives developed in the three territories included in the call.
Each of them will have a maximum endowment of 75,000 euros, which will be distributed among three winning projects. Thus, each selected initiative may receive up to 25,000 euros for the development of the actions outlined in its application.
The Social Value Awards are aimed at entities that work with people in situations of vulnerability and develop initiatives related to their well-being, inclusion, and quality of life. The submitted projects will be evaluated by local juries made up of institutional representatives linked to the social sphere.
The call also incorporates the participation of Moeve professionals, who will accompany the participating entities as supportive godfathers and godmothers during the process.
The general director of Moeve Foundation, Teresa Mañueco, has stated that the awards recognize the work that entities close to the target groups do and their understanding of the existing social needs. The Foundation's person in charge has placed among the objectives of the call the generation of opportunities and the construction of more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable communities.
The 2026 edition also incorporates criteria related to sustainability. Moeve Foundation will positively value that the candidate projects integrate this type of criteria and contemplate actions linked to ecological transition among the groups they target.
This aspect will not be exclusionary, so entities may apply for the awards even if their projects do not specifically include measures related to this matter. Sustainability will be, however, one of the elements that will be taken into account during the evaluation process of the initiatives.
The territorial distribution of the funds establishes the same maximum amount for the three areas included in the call. Campo de Gibraltar, the province of Huelva, and the Canary Islands will each have up to 75,000 euros, with three selected projects per territory and a maximum of 25,000 euros for each of them.
The Social Value Awards began in 2005. Since then, Moeve Foundation has allocated more than 5.63 million euros through this initiative and has supported a total of 527 social projects.
According to the data provided by the Foundation, the actions developed during this period have directly benefited nearly 115,000 people. The 2026 edition thus maintains a line of aid that accumulates more than two decades of calls directed at social entities.
Applications may be submitted until September 18 and must correspond to projects developed by entities working in the territories included in the awards. Once the deadline is over, local juries will be responsible for selecting the beneficiary initiatives within each territorial scope.
The planned distribution will allow granting a maximum of nine projects among the three areas, always within the economic limits established for the call. Each territory will have up to three selected initiatives and a cumulative endowment that may not exceed 75,000 euros.
The 2026 call also maintains the support of Moeve professionals for the participating entities and the participation of institutional representatives linked to the social sphere in the bodies responsible for evaluating the projects.
