Moeve has announced a strategic alliance with Accenture to strengthen its comprehensive solutions offering for emission reduction aimed at industrial clients under the Moeve decarbonize initiative. The agreement will allow the company’s energy experience to be combined with the technological and strategic capabilities of the consultancy to accelerate the transition towards more sustainable productive models.
Through this collaboration, Moeve will support companies in sectors such as heavy industry in defining and executing their decarbonization plans, covering the entire value chain. To this end, it will make available to its clients a complete portfolio of sustainable energies, including renewable electricity, biomethane, or HVO, along with solutions aimed at optimizing energy costs and maintaining competitiveness.
For its part, Accenture will provide advanced digital tools, such as generative artificial intelligence, that will allow for the analysis of large volumes of data, modeling of scenarios, and more efficient planning of the energy transition. The focus will be especially on reducing indirect emissions from the supply chain, known as scope 3.
The CEO of Moeve, Maarten Wetselaar, has highlighted that this agreement strengthens the company’s ability to support its clients in an energy transition that demands "effectiveness, agility, and innovation." In the same vein, Mercedes Oblanca, president and CEO of Accenture in Spain and Portugal, has emphasized the importance of combining strategy, technology, and execution to tackle a complex challenge like industrial decarbonization.
The Moeve decarbonize initiative is supported by a network of strategic partners that provide an integrated and tailored support for each client. This agreement is complemented by the one previously reached with GreenYellow, focused on the development and financing of energy efficiency projects.
