Baleària closed 2025 with 8,392,000 linear meters of goods transported, a figure that represents a 10% growth compared to the previous year and consolidates the company as one of the leading maritime logistics operators in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. The shipping company presents this data coinciding with its participation in the International Logistics Fair (SIL) in Barcelona, where it showcases its proposal for efficient and sustainable cargo transport.

The cargo segment contributes 36% of the group's revenue and remains one of the pillars of its activity. The routes with the Balearic Islands and Morocco concentrate the largest volume. In the Balearic archipelago, the company's operations facilitate inter-island distribution within an optimal range, reduce costs, and contribute to the efficiency of the clients' logistics chain. In the corridor with Morocco, the Tangier Med–Algeciras and Nador–Almeria lines sustain the commercial flows between Spain and North Africa.

Baleària's Cargo Director, Maximiliano Bermejo, has stated that "the results reflect the increasingly relevant role of Baleària in the supply chain of our clients, both in non-peninsular territories and in international connections." Bermejo also reminded that the shipping company offers a reliable, flexible, and efficient service, focused on commitment and proximity to clients and with a smaller environmental footprint.

The group has consolidated its position as one of the leading maritime operators in Europe following the recent acquisition of Armas Trasmediterránea. The annual forecast for cargo traffic is set at 11 million linear meters.

In terms of energy efficiency and decarbonization, Baleària has reduced CO₂e emissions per linear meter transported by 12%. This evolution is a consequence of improved energy efficiency of its fleet, the use of fuels with lower impact, and the optimization of operations. "We are incorporating solutions that allow for progress towards a more efficient logistics model with less environmental impact, aligned with our decarbonization roadmap," added Bermejo.

In the area of digitalization, the company has launched a new online sales service for cargo space aimed at clients without pre-established tariff conditions. Through the website, these users can check real-time availability, associated services, and prices, and reserve space in the ship's holds immediately. The system replaces traditional processes with a digital model that shortens management times and improves clients' logistics planning.

"This project responds to the need to adapt the marketing of cargo to more dynamic environments. The digitalization of this segment allows for optimizing operations and progressing towards more efficient and transparent models," explained the Cargo Director. During its participation in SIL, Baleària maintains meetings with logistics operators, clients, suppliers, and interest groups.
