Total Logistic participated in Seatrade Cruise Med 2026, held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where it presented its logistics services aimed at shipowners, shipping companies, cruise ships, and crews. The company attended this meeting once again alongside its parent, Carmelo Martínez Rodríguez (CMR), during an edition that gathered more than 2,000 professionals and 224 exhibitors, as well as representatives from shipping companies and operators connected to the international cruise industry.
Total Logistic's presence at the fair has focused on its activity as a provider of logistics, customs, and transportation services for ships operating in the ports where the company works. During the days held in Gran Canaria, the dispatched team held meetings with clients and collaborators related to maritime-port activities and, particularly, with the logistical needs associated with cruise ship calls.
The company has customs warehouses in Algeciras, Málaga, and Cádiz, facilities that it uses as bases for the storage of spare parts and supplies intended for ships with scheduled calls in the ports where it provides service. This infrastructure allows for the concentration of goods and supplies before delivering them to the ship, integrating storage operations with customs management and transportation to the port.
The operation associated with cruises requires coordinating various services within the established timeframes for each call. In this regard, Total Logistic articulates its activity by combining storage, customs procedures, and transportation, both for supplying spare parts and other supplies required by the ships.
The company's participation has also occurred in the context of the presence of the Port Community of the Bay of Algeciras at Seatrade Cruise Med. Total Logistic was one of the three companies from this community dispatched to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, alongside Incargo Andalucía Sur and Romeu y Cía.
The three companies accompanied the representation of the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras (APBA), which attended the fair to present the opportunities of Algeciras and Tarifa to shipping companies, operators, and professionals regarding cruise call markets.
The representation of the Spanish port system has been articulated through the Ports of Spain space, coordinated by Puertos del Estado, while the Andalusian ports have participated under the umbrella of Suncruise Andalucía and Mar de Alborán.
In this framework, the business participation has allowed for the inclusion of available services in the ports' promotion to meet the operational needs of the ships. Total Logistic specifically presented its capacity to manage the logistics chain linked to a call, from the storage of goods and spare parts to customs procedures and subsequent transportation.
The company develops these services relying on its presence in various Andalusian ports. Its customs warehouses in Algeciras, Málaga, and Cádiz constitute part of the structure from which it handles the movement of spare parts and supplies for ships, an activity that may require coordination among warehouses, land transportation, documentation processes, and delivery at the port within the established operational windows.
The event in Las Palmas has also served to maintain direct contacts with representatives of the cruise market. The Total Logistic team dispatched to Seatrade Cruise Med has held different meetings and encounters with clients and collaborators during the fair, aiming to understand their operational needs and present the services available in the locations where the company operates.
The activity carried out by Total Logistic is framed within the strategy of presenting Algeciras and Tarifa as possible call destinations. The delegation from the Bay of Algeciras has conveyed the characteristics of both ports, their location between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic and between Europe and Africa, as well as the available services and infrastructure linked to nature, culture, sports, and gastronomy.
Among the elements presented during the meeting was also the total solar eclipse expected for 2027, within the offer that the port delegation has conveyed to cruise operators interested in scheduling calls in the area.
The agenda developed on the occasion of Seatrade Cruise Med has been completed with a visit to the Port of San Sebastián de La Gomera, organized by the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The visit allowed for the experience of this port in handling cruise calls and sharing practices related to this activity that could be applicable to the development of traffic in Tarifa.
For Total Logistic, its participation in Seatrade Cruise Med 2026 has been linked both to presenting its logistics capabilities and to engaging with the various actors involved in cruise calls.
