The companies EVO and Logístika 360, in collaboration with the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras, have announced the start of real-world testing of the H2Tractor in the port area of Algeciras. The project marks a milestone in the evolution of this technology, which, after its development and technical validation phase, is now entering a demanding operational environment. The goal is to evaluate its performance, reliability, and integration capability into the daily operations of the port.
The tests will be conducted at the Muelle de Isla Verde Interior, where the vehicle will operate in real logistics scenarios to measure its behavior under intensive work conditions.
The H2Tractor, powered by hydrogen-based technology, is part of initiatives aimed at decarbonizing port activities and incorporating more sustainable energy solutions in the logistics sector.
During the scheduled day on April 28 at 11:00 a.m., a live demonstration of the vehicle will be conducted, allowing observers to see its operation in real time within the port environment.
With this testing phase, the Port of Algeciras strengthens its role as a laboratory for logistic innovation, where new energy technologies begin to integrate into real operations of handling and transporting goods.
