The Andalusian ports expect the arrival of more than 300 cruise stops during this spring. The Port of Cádiz will receive the highest number of ships until June, with 128 scheduled stops, distributed as 43 in April, 30 in May, and 36 in June. The Port of Málaga follows with 117 stops and a forecast of 172,000 passengers until June 29, consolidating the figures compared to the same period last year.
In Málaga, the season has started with the stop of the Four Seasons Yacht, which has chosen the Málaga port to hold its baptism ceremony. Another 66 ships belonging to luxury and premium cruise lines are expected to arrive until June, which represents more than half of the total scheduled stops and confirms the upward trend of this tourist segment. The Legend of the Seas, from Royal Caribbean, will visit Málaga for the first time on June 29, making the Málaga port the first European destination of this ship on its inaugural journey from the Caribbean before starting its summer season in the Mediterranean. During this period, the Port of Málaga will host up to four simultaneous cruises on April 13, May 2, May 5, and June 26, combining stops from ships of different sizes.
The Port of Sevilla will receive 22 stops this spring. The season opened on March 27 with the Azamara Journey, and the last scheduled stop will be the Seaborn Venture on June 14. As a novelty, four cruises will make their first stop in Sevilla this year. During the April Fair, several ships such as the Hanseatic Nature, the Clio, the Evrima, and the Vidanta Cruises will dock at the Tablada Quay.
In the Port of Almería, the season has been opened by the ship Seven Seas Voyager with nearly 700 cruisers on board. This Saturday, a double stop is expected with the cruises Wind Star and Star Flyer, and four more ships will join in April. In total, Almería anticipates ten stops this spring, with a ship typology that mainly belongs to the premium and boutique segments.
