Pérez y Cía., the maritime services division of Grupo Pérez y Cía., has opened its own office in Venezuela as part of its international expansion strategy, with which it expands its operational network in Latin America and strengthens its position in the Caribbean and northern South America. The company, with over 170 years of activity in the maritime sector, already has a presence in Europe, Africa, Asia, and various countries in Latin America.
From the new Venezuelan office, Pérez y Cía. will focus its activity on the provision of specialized maritime services, including ship consignments, representation of shipping lines, comprehensive management of port calls, support services for ships and crews (husbandry), operational coordination in port, and technical assistance. The establishment in Venezuela will allow the group to increase its proximity to clients operating in the area and improve its management capacity in the country’s strategic ports.
Ramiro Cobo, general director of the Maritime Division of Grupo Pérez y Cía., has stated that the arrival in Venezuela "reinforces our commitment to Latin America and allows us to continue supporting our clients with services tailored to their needs." Cobo has described the opening as a key step "to continue developing our international network and consolidating our presence in the region."
The entry into the Venezuelan market is part of the group's growth plan, which in recent years has expanded its geographical coverage to serve shipowners and operators in an increasing number of ports worldwide. The company bases its value proposition on the combination of accumulated experience, operational capacity, and knowledge of the local markets in which it operates, a model it applies both in the traditional areas of its activity and in the new markets in which it establishes itself.
