Customs Support Group (CSG) has completed the acquisition of TEN Aduanas 2019 SL, a customs representation company based in Barcelona and certified as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO). The deal marks the European group’s third acquisition in Spain since 2022 and expands its national structure, which currently comprises nearly 100 professionals across Algeciras, Madrid, and Barcelona.
With the addition of TEN Aduanas, CSG establishes a direct presence at the port and airport of Barcelona, two key infrastructures for international trade and logistics operations in the Mediterranean. The acquisition enables the group to incorporate the services and operational experience of a company specializing in customs management, international transit, and goods control procedures.
Founded in 2019, TEN Aduanas operates in import, export, and transit customs clearance, with operational availability 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Its specialties include the handling of T1 transit documents and para-customs procedures, including the health, veterinary, and phytosanitary inspections required for certain movements of goods.
The company also provides customs services related to cruise traffic and offshore operations, activities that require specific documentation and control procedures. Following the acquisition, TEN Aduanas will retain its team of professionals and its customer service model, with the aim of ensuring continuity in its business relationships and the services it currently provides.
The addition of the Barcelona-based company is part of Customs Support Group’s expansion strategy in the Spanish market, where it began operating through acquisitions in 2022. Its first deal was the acquisition of Tránsito 2000, a customs representative based in Algeciras with a 30-year track record in international trade and customs procedures management.
Later, in September 2025, CSG added DOJÖ Consulting Group, a company based in Madrid specializing in international trade strategy consulting, tariff classification, and customs compliance. This second acquisition enabled the group to add technical and regulatory advisory services to its customs representation activities.
For now, the acquisition of TEN Aduanas completes a structure that combines the operational activities of Algeciras and Barcelona with consulting services delivered from Madrid. As a result, Customs Support Spain has teams at three locations connected to foreign trade and the management of international goods operations.
Elías Benhamú, Customs Support Group’s general manager for Spain and France, said that in four years the company has gone from having a presence in Algeciras to also having teams in Madrid and Barcelona. According to the executive, this evolution has enabled it to build an organization of approximately 100 specialists in the Spanish market.
Spain is among CSG’s priority growth markets, and the group plans to continue investing both by developing its existing activities and through further acquisitions. The company has not specified any potential additional deals or the amount of funding allocated to this strategy in the information provided.
Alongside expanding its geographic footprint, the group is working to integrate technological tools into its customs procedures. CSG has a team specializing in artificial intelligence and is developing proprietary solutions designed to automate certain processes and combine their use with the involvement of specialized professionals.
These tools are part of its strategy to digitalize foreign trade services in a field that requires managing documentation, complying with regulatory requirements, and coordinating operations with various government agencies and logistics operators.
Benhamú has confirmed the intention to continue investing in Spain, both in professional teams and in new technological capabilities. The executive considers that combining local expertise, resources from the European network, and digital solutions is part of the service model the group aims to develop in the domestic market.
Across Europe, Customs Support Group has more than 120 offices in 16 countries, a workforce of over 1,700 professionals, and a portfolio of more than 60,000 clients. Its activities focus on customs representation and the provision of services related to international trade.
In Spain, the organization brings together Tránsito 2000’s experience in customs operations in Algeciras, TEN Aduanas’ services in the port and airport area of Barcelona, and DOJÖ Consulting Group’s consulting and tariff classification capabilities in Madrid. The three companies make up the group’s geographic and service structure following the acquisitions made between 2022 and November 2026.
