The Port of Algeciras kicks off this week its commercial course with institutional presence at the SMM Hamburg Fair, the biennial meeting of the international maritime sector, which is held in the German city from September 1 to 4. The Port Authority of Algeciras Bay (APBA) will travel to Germany accompanied by about twenty companies from the Port Community, which will showcase their service offer to the ship under the umbrella of the Strait enclave.
The space of the Port of Algeciras is located in the Spain pavilion, at stand 119 in hall B1.OG. There it will host on Wednesday at 1:00 PM the traditional cup for clients and friends, a regular meeting on the port's commercial contact calendar at the German fair.
The Algeciras delegation focuses on suppliers of the ship service segment, a market that includes ship brokers, ship repair and electronics companies, suppliers, crew change managers, maritime law firms, divers, Marpol service operators, victualling, and fuel supply (bunkering). These commercial updates from the Strait port are directed at those interlocutors, including its positioning as a Green Energy Hub. The APBA emphasizes in its call that the Bay of Algeciras ranked among the top three European ports in the supply of low-carbon transition fuels for 2025, focusing on liquefied natural gas (LNG) and renewable liquefied biomethane.
The twenty-one companies from the Bay of Algeciras participating in the fair under the umbrella of the APBA are Pérez y Cía., Ayllón Abogados, Alfaship, Arola Shipping, BayPort, BMT Repairs, Cadiship, CJ Services, Crosscomar, Dino Theo Atlantis, Elcome Europe, Garant Safety, Gas Marine, Gibunco, Incargo, Jason Marine Electronics, Neko Ship Supply, Remesa, Radio Onda Servicios Marítimos, Sandvik, and Zener Marine Elevator. The group reflects the map of local suppliers operating in the enclave: ship agencies, suppliers, electronic and security services, maritime legal advice, victualling, and energy supply.
