A delegation from the Business Promotion and Foreign Trade Area of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz has traveled this week to the Moroccan city of Casablanca to participate in the XIII edition of Logismed 2026, the main logistics and supply chain fair in North Africa. The event, which began on Tuesday, May 12, and concludes tomorrow, Wednesday, features Spain as the guest of honor, a circumstance that is attracting decision-makers and international operators. The meeting brings together operators, authorities, and companies from the logistics and transport sector across the Mediterranean and African surroundings.
Attendance at this fair represents an opportunity for the Free Trade Zone to hold meetings, strengthen contacts, and present the customs and tax advantages, the logistics assets, and the industrial equipment it manages throughout the province of Cádiz, with the aim of attracting investments from a country like Morocco and from a continent, Africa, that is undergoing a process of economic expansion.
The presence of the Cádiz Consortium at Logismed is part of the mission organized by Andalucía Trade. The Cádiz delegation is composed, in addition to the Free Trade Zone, of Cádiz-Port and the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz, along with the companies Baylog and Macpherson Underwater Services.
The stand in which the Cádiz fiscal area participates, highly valued for its strategic location and its historical role as a natural gateway to external markets, has generated significant interest. The contacts of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz in Morocco are close, the result of previous trade missions to the neighboring country in which profitable relationships were established with companies and logistics operators, especially from the agri-food sector.
The International Transport and Logistics Fair, Logismed, covers everything from the provision of transport and logistics services to specialized consulting in supply chain management, offering concrete solutions for the operational needs of participating companies. Beyond the exhibition area, Logismed 2026 features a high-level scientific program that addresses the main challenges of the industry, aimed at professionals exploring the trends that are transforming global business.
