Teleport 2.0 will incorporate new versions of the Relationship Service by Means of Transport (SRMT) and the RoRo Loading List Service (SLC) on September 28, as part of the digital integration process of road traffic operations taking place through the Port of Algeciras.
According to the information communicated to the sector, both services will connect with the Unified Road Freight Service (SUMC), which is currently operational, to link the boarding reservations, the processes associated with customs clearance, and the generation of each vessel's loading list within a single digital chain.
The main change expected for September 28 affects the RoRo Loading List. As of that date, its generation will be linked to the previously authorized boarding reservations in SUMC. Load units without a properly managed reservation through this service will not be able to be included in the corresponding loading list and, consequently, complete the necessary process to access the boarding area.
The SUMC has been operational since December 2025 and centralizes boarding reservation requests for heavy vehicles using the maritime lines of the Strait. The system's documentation also includes the management of access appointments and the exchange of information between carriers, logistics operators, shipping companies, and other agents involved in these operations.
For its part, the SRMT allows relating each transport unit to the goods it carries and the corresponding documentation. This service is part of the procedure used to verify the status of units before boarding.
The RoRo Loading List includes the units that the shipping company plans to board on a specific departure. The operational documentation of the Port Authority states that, before accessing the boarding area, it must be verified that the unit is included in the loading list and meets the corresponding customs conditions.
The connection of these services corresponds to the design of Teleport 2.0 as a Port Community System of the Port of Algeciras. The platform is designed to integrate electronic information exchanges between the different agents in the Logistics-Port Community and allow for the monitoring of processes related to the movement of goods through the port.
Both the SRMT and the services related to the loading lists were already present in previous developments of the port system. The APBA notes in its documentation that both services began to be implemented years ago and that later work was initiated for their evolution and incorporation into Teleport 2.0.
The new phase planned for September thus implies the connection of these services with SUMC. The reservation managed through this last system will be linked to the subsequent process that allows the unit to be incorporated into the RoRo Loading List.
The production start date has been communicated to software and ERP providers working with Port Community companies. The information disseminated to the sector also includes the holding of informational sessions during September aimed at explaining the updates and modifications incorporated.
The adaptation particularly affects companies whose systems exchange information directly with Teleport 2.0, as they are involved in the electronic management of reservations, goods relationships, and loading lists used in the RoRo operations at the Port of Algeciras.
