The Spanish multinational Group Oesía-Tecnobit consolidates its presence in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz with an expansion of its current facilities in the customs area, which will increase from the current 472 m² to occupy more than 600 m², specifically 636 m² in the Atlas building, where it has leased two new adjoining modules to the existing ones to grow in space and capacity in its industrial and digital division.
Tecnobit-Grupo Oesía began operating in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz in 2022 with the aim of having a new corporate headquarters in the province from which to address its growth prospects.
Grupo Oesía is a Spanish multinational dedicated to industrial engineering, through Tecnobit, and digital, through Oesía Networks, with 3,200 professionals working for 25 countries, integrated into 16 corporate offices in Spain and Latin America, from which it develops and implements projects on an international scale.
The expansion responds to the company's need for growth, in full expansion and with a diverse client portfolio, as its activity is geared towards a specialized digital and industrial activity for sectors such as healthcare, public administration, defense and security, aerospace and space, telecommunications, finance, logistics, and the industrial sector.
The initial investment to adapt the new facilities amounts to 195,000 euros and will allow the company to consolidate its work in the development of cutting-edge technology, in addition to adding 37 specialized job positions, mainly for the industrial division, which will be added to the 52 already existing.
Oesía-Tecnobit is part of the ecosystem of innovative and technology companies that have recently joined the business fabric of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz. The growth of the customs area and the enhancement of business spaces and facilities are part of the new industrial model 4.0, which has attracted firms such as Capgemini, Quest Global, Rospa, Elecam, Dragados Offshore, or Dreexo Energy.
The State Delegate in the Free Trade Zone, Fran González, has positively assessed this expansion. "We are delighted that companies feel comfortable in the Free Trade Zone, consolidate their activity here, and grow because when companies grow, it benefits the entire environment, creating jobs and wealth," he said.
González added that "the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz is doing important work in recovering, improving, and bringing its quality productive spaces to market. This is creating a productive, technological, and innovative fabric around the Consortium that complements the Blue Economy ecosystem and enriches our new model of industry 4.0."
The expansion of Oesía-Tecnobit joins the arrival of other technological and industrial companies to the Cádiz customs area in recent years, in a movement that positions the Free Trade Zone as one of the poles of technological activity in the province.
