The Andalusian agri-food sector has positioned itself at the forefront of national food and beverage exports during the first two months of 2026, with a business volume exceeding 3.000 billion euros in foreign sales. According to data analyzed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water, and Rural Development, the figure represents a slight decrease of 1% compared to the same period in 2025, although it constitutes the second best record for these months in the historical series, which began in 2000.
The total amount reached by Andalusian agri-food exports up to February of this year represents nearly 24% of the national total, which amounts to 12.609 billion euros. This figure allows Andalusia to surpass Catalonia, the second region in the ranking, by 531.2 million euros, representing a difference of 21.5% between the two regions.
The breakdown by provinces shows the weight of Almería as the main exporting engine. Between January and February 2026, more than 595,500 tons of food and beverages have been sold abroad from this province for a value close to 1.270 billion euros. In Seville, exports have approached 242,500 tons and have exceeded 574 million euros, while in Huelva they have approached 65,500 tons valued at more than 291 million euros.
Málaga has sold almost 89,000 tons of agri-food products to other countries for an amount exceeding 247 million euros, and Córdoba has reached 107,300 tons valued at around 235 million euros. In the case of Granada, agri-food exports have exceeded 62,700 tons and have approached 196.3 million euros. Cádiz has exported around 55,400 tons with a return of over 131 million euros, and Jaén has marketed about 14,500 tons of food and beverages abroad for a value exceeding 64.5 million euros.
By products, olive oil remains the most exported food from Andalusia in the analyzed period, with a value close to 518 million euros, of which 369 million correspond to international sales of extra virgin olive oil. In second place is the bell pepper, with transactions worth 383 million euros, followed by cucumber (327 million euros), tomato (169 million euros), zucchini (131 million euros), and strawberry (130 million euros).
Regarding destination markets, Germany holds the top position during this period. The German market accounts for 20.6% of the value of Andalusian agri-food exports, with slightly over 620 million euros in the first two months of 2026, an amount that represents an increase of nearly 3% compared to the previous year. France, with 11.3% of the total, exceeds 341 million euros, which represents an increase of 3.3%. The Netherlands, in third position, accounts for 9.4% of the value of these sales, reaching 281.4 million euros, with a growth of 9.4%.
The vast majority of economic resources generated by these transactions, nearly 85%, corresponds to exports directed to European countries, whose markets have exceeded 2.550 billion euros. In America, Andalusian agri-food exports reached 238.2 million euros in the first two months of 2026. In Asia, they have surpassed 154 million euros, in Africa they have approached 40 million euros, and in Oceania they have hovered around 17.5 million euros.
